Training and development are priorities at SKIDATA
SKIDATA shapes its future and its employees according to the motto „Driving your digital future.“ Systematic knowledge sharing and strategic transfer of knowledge are key factors in the international success of this global leader for access systems.

This Salzburg-based driver of innovation with 1,350 employees around the globe relies on digitized and sustainable training and development with the goal of imparting sound product and specialist knowledge, as well as methodical and social skills.
„The expertise of our employees is one of the most important factors in our success. Their know-how, communication skills, flexibility and independence are crucial to keeping SKIDATA prepared for the increasing requirements in an international environment in the future,“ says SKIDATA AG CEO Hugo Rohner of the strategic personnel development at SKIDATA.
Global SKIDATA Training Academy
The global Training Academy plays a decisive role here. Knowledge from various departments is bundled and systematically taught according to the newest training methods. As a Digital Solution Provider offers SKIDATA to traditional face-to-face lessons also online trainings. This range of advanced training opportunities makes SKIDATA employees excellently trained specialists and generates ongoing state-of-the-art knowledge.
Knowledge is power – IT apprenticeships at SKIDATA
Apprenticeship training also blazes new trails at SKIDATA with the goal of guaranteeing apprentices the best possible education in the fields of IT and technology. Currently 20 apprentices are being trained in seven different skilled trades at the headquarters in Salzburg. They benefit from development programs that go far beyond dual vocational training: such as the Apprentice Forum, which takes place every six months and enables cross-departmental learning and discussion. Another crucial aspect that trainers also take advantage of continuing education courses.
IT specialist training in the group
Additionally, SKIDATA participates in funding programs such as ITSalzburg//study.work.support available for information technology and system management students at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. As part of this program, students are awarded an internship at SKIDATA; two students are currently doing their internship with us. Also includes the program contribution for tuition fee and housing costs. But the great thing about the program is that it allows students to combine their studies and work.
