This compact 3.5-inch single-board computer is designed for demanding AI applications, combining high computing power with energy efficiency thanks to the new Intel® Core™ Ultra Meteor Lake processor. „With the Intel Arc™ GPU and the newly integrated VPU, the IB962 accelerates local processing of image and video data, delivering exceptional visual quality and optimized energy consumption,“ explained Thomas Schrefel, Product Manager Embedded at FORTEC Integrated.
Versatile Connectivity and Flexible Model Options
The IB962 offers a wide range of connectivity options for high-resolution displays, featuring HDMI, DisplayPort, LVDS, and eDP interfaces. This makes it ideal for direct AI-based visualization, particularly suited for quality control in industrial automation or medical imaging analysis. The IB962 model variants equipped with Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 and Ultra 5 Meteor Lake-U/H processors meet diverse processing demands, all within a compact footprint of 102 x 147 mm. With support for up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory, the IB962 enables both advanced multitasking and rapid processing of large data volumes.
Edge AI for Future-Proof Data Processing
Edge AI reduces latency and lowers costs by processing data directly at the source, without relying on remote servers or the cloud. Local data storage enhances security, minimizing third-party access risks. The IB962 thus provides not only immediate insights and rapid response times but also helps businesses comply with stringent data protection standards. Additionally, the Edge-AI architecture saves energy by transmitting only selected and relevant data to central servers, significantly reducing overall power consumption.
Availability and Additional Services
The long-term available IB962 series is available from FORTEC Integrated with a comprehensive range of accessories, including displays, touchscreens, SSDs, and power supplies. Optionally, boards are available pre-installed with Windows 10 or 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC. FORTEC also provides design-in support, BIOS customization, and consulting services.
